

Neither of these were done with any levelling. One is the springs as far uncompressed as they can go, and the other is as compressed as they can go. I decided I would do two tests (both with a heated bed and nozzle). I guess that's what I get for buying cheap wheels of amazon! The eccentric nuts are actually quite tight and although there is still some spots a bit tighter, it is significantly less. I've got them all on and I also put some WD40 in the bearings of them.

It took a while to get this data because Pronterface won’t work with this particular machine, because the SKR mini E3 motherboard in it throws a wobbly when connected to my laptop. Your results are five times worse, so either the levelling you are doing is problematic or your BL-Touch is wonky. A 0.2 mm variation across the bed is fairly good mechanical levelling, and well within the UBL system’s ability to compensate. The absolute data will move around after the bed is heated, by the way, but the relative changes should be fairly consistent. So my worst change (basically the error from the same two positions probed in sequence) was -0.012 mm. This is my Cura start code for the Ender 3 that is closest to stock: What can I do to fix this? Do I just need to relevel my bed again or something? I still don't think it's a clogging issue since I get the same outcome on every print. I have been using CHEP's hotend fix for a while now and It's worked like a charm. When I took the nozzle off there was still filament some left inside the nozzle but nothing that wouldn't have been cleared when other filament was pushed through.

I've checked for clogs as well but there wasn't any. But when I print, some places on the first layer are really far above the bed and some are so close that it doesn't even allow for filament to be extruded. If you bed is off by 1 millimetre then it should still account for that (correct me if I'm wrong). I know the BLTouch works on fractions of a millimetre, but I believe that's dependant on your bed. The thing I was printing was a BLTouch test cross but I abandoned it shortly after starting. The issue is I am now having serious first layer adhesion problems again, like shown in the photos. I'm not sure that's a big issue because it's like that to make my bed level. As you can see in my bed_springs photo, one side (the right) is much more compressed than the other. After doing that, I manually levelled the bed because it was seriously not flat at all. I straightened out my x-gantry because it was lower on one side. I've recently moved my printer to an IKEA Lack enclosure that I am still working on.
